2023 SAP Concur APAC Business Travelers Report

Here’s what business travelers in Asia Pacific are saying:

• They’re increasingly ready to hit the road, with 60% very willing to take trips in the next year.
• Travel can drive success, with 94% saying their career trajectory depends on it and citing its key role in maintaining customer relationships, team building, and networking.
• Safety and values are paramount, with 92% willing to reject an assigned trip for concerns involving health and safety, work-life balance, or sustainability.

Those are insights from our 2023 SAP Concur APAC Business Travelers Report, conducted in partnership with Wakefield Research and based on a survey of 3,850 travelers at companies of varying sizes across 25 markets and 32 countries.

Cutting across travelers’ concerns is a desire for flexibility – to book, choose lodging, foster sustainability, and go outside travel policy – that are fueling policy changes. At the same time companies are contending with tight budgets and economic uncertainty.
